What's a MyFutureJobs Letter of Support?
A MyFutureJobs Letter of Support or Surat Perakuan Pengiklanan is a mandatory supporting document for Employment Pass applications that verifies an employer has advertised a vacancy on MYFutureJobs for the required duration and interviewed local candidates to try filling the position with Malaysian talent.
It’s not a document employers need to fill out themselves, but those who want to know what it looks like can click the button below to download a sample.
Once issued, the letter is valid for six months and the EP application must be submitted within this timeframe.
MyFutureJobs letter of support
To obtain this letter, after advertising the vacancy on MyFutureJobs and conducting interviews, employers must complete and submit a Hiring Outcome Report (HOR).
What's a Hiring Outcome Report?
This documents an employers’ efforts to hire local talent. It is submitted to PERKESO once it has satisfied the required duration for advertising a vacancy on MyFutureJobs, and includes information about the employer, role, all local candidates interviewed, and an explanation of why they were unsuitable.

Exempted roles
The following roles do not require advertising on MyFutureJobs or obtaining a Letter of Support:
- Senior management including CEOs, directors, and other top leaders
- Roles with a basic monthly salary of RM15,000 and above
- Shareholders with at least 30% equity in a company and wish to participate in running it
- Expatriates sent by a foreign parent company to its Malaysian branch / subsidiary
- Staff for foreign representative offices
MyFutureJobs advertising checklist
Employers should take the following steps before advertising on MyFutureJobs:
- Confirmed the role is not exempt
- Registered with PERKESO
- Activated their MyFutureJobs employer account
