Dependent Pass

Both passes are usually valid for the same duration as the principal Employment Pass.
However, if the passport of the dependent or LTSVP applicant expires earlier than the principal’s pass, the validity of their pass will follow the passport validity instead.
No. Holders of both passes cannot work in Malaysia under their current pass.
If they wish to work, they must apply for their own Employment Pass.
ESD fees may change from time to time, but as of publishing this, Dependent Pass cost approximately RM500 and Long-Term Social Visit Passes cost approximately RM450 per application.
These do not include additional immigration, visa, or processing fees.
The Dependent or Long-Term Social Visit Pass must also be terminated.
If all documents are complete and there are no issues with the application, processing typically takes around 14 to 21 working days.
