ESD Letter of Undertaking

What is a Letter of Undertaking?
An ESD Letter of Undertaking (LoU) is a mandatory supporting document during employer account registration on the Expatriate Services Division (ESD) portal, listing key personnel allowed to act on the company’s behalf:
– Endorser: An authorised individual who endorses the application and confirms the company’s submission
– Submission officer: The person submitting applications and supporting documents through the system
The LoU must be signed by a company director taking responsibility for complying with immigration regulations and all information submitted, and those interested cana click on the button below for a free sample.
Upon registering for an account, ESD will contact the employer and ask for an LoU to be sent through the portal.

Application checklist
Applicants must complete the following before they can properly fill and submit the form:
- Incorporated a Malaysian company
- Finalised paid-up capital injection (must include company bank statements)
- Identified endorser and submission officers
- Identified director who signs LoU
- Registered with LHDN, KWSP, and SOCSO
